Moon Checker
This gizmo works great - I have found the odd loaded clip that won't chamber, and it is a lot better to find that out before you get to the range for a practice or competition. GM-Exactly as it's supposed to work.

Moon Clip Checker 38/357 S&W 627
I was not sure the value of a moon clip checker would be proven but, I thought I would give it a test spin and placed my order. With a match a few days away, I loaded 300 round and gauge checked each round, finding one "bad" round. After loading 30 moon clips, I used my new moon clip checker, I didn't think any clip would not pass - I had gauged each round. One moon clip, when loaded, would not gauge in the moon clip checker. Proof it works, value added to my range bag. GM- 4 stars come on ;-) ....Seriously these checkers really do work. After checking you don't have to think about if your moon clip will go into your cylinder!!

Easy operation & testing
Finish is of a high standard, tolerances are good, haven't tried it with fired brass but with new Starline Brass fits perfectly. Only improvement I could suggest is the overall length, perhaps if it was made for the MAX OVERALL LENGTH (357 Reviewed) GM-OAL is for 627 revolvers.

Nice secure easy operation
Fit & finish is good, fitted the new Starline brass well & negotiable play once loaded, easier to load/unload than OEM clips.

EVERYONE NEEDS THIS!
I purchased my first checker 2yrs ago for the 625. I have never looked back. I check every loaded moonclip before it goes in my bag. I have not missed a reload or had any issue except for me the shooter since getting it. If you shoot with moonclips, you need one!

Quick Check
I am competing in the PA Steel League. Using the DMCT-357-X8-1 tool sometimes causes the moon clip to bend. Your cylinder check was very expedient in checking the moon clip in the cylinder. Most of the league revolver shooters use the BMT Mooner/Demooner tool. This tool secures the eight round moon clip, the casings, loads and unloads the rounds faster than the DMCT tool. ----------------------------------- GM: I would love to host a speed challenge. DMCT vs BMT. But from rounds in box to loaded moon clips...say 30 of them
