This is the checker for the 6 shot 45 ACP revolver.
Used to check the industry standard full moon clips for the Model 1917 revolver from both Colt and S&W.
Also S&W revolver models 22, 25, 26, 625, 325 and the Governor.
This is used to check your moon clip without putting the ammunition into the chamber.
If the loaded moon clip fits in this checker, it will fit in your gun!

Well made, good tolerances
I usually check my moonclips loaded for fit in the actual cylinder of the revolver. However, this is perfect for checking your loaded moon clips at the range, where handling a firearm is not permitted in loading tables. So if you reload moon clips for a match stage, you can use the checker while your revolver is safely in a case.
