This compensator from REVO-GEAR is intended for use on the S&W 627 Revolver; specifically the 627 VComp. This is a compensator that really works. It reduces muzzle rise and makes for quicker shots. It is a bolt on part and can be easily removed.
This compensator fits on the S&W 625 VComp. But the opening for the bullets is 0.357 nominal NOT 0.452 that the 45ACP requires. We are considering modifying this part to work on the S&W 625 if there is enough interest.

Fit & Finnish are what is to be expected from RSC.....PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. I'm running them both 1st on a S&W 929 9MM & A V-COMP 38/357. The comps will preform better with lite bullets going fast to very fast. Also powders that produce a lot of gas volume will make comp work more efficiently. Try to stick with thick plated bullets or Jacketed without exposed bases to eliminate the lead fouling that WILL accumulate on the compensator. You'll be surprised how fast it builds up & is a bear to get off. I've gone as far as coating all the compensators before shooting and after shooting with raw lanalyn.. It helps a lot but doesn't eliminate it. 2nd. On The v comp. Stick to hot lite 38spl & 357 you can really feel the comp working. It's Great that RSC is making a great product for 2 amazing revolvers.

627 VComp quality and excellence
The Revolver Supply compensators are perfect for adding bolt on performance to your revolver. The fit and finish could not be held to any higher standard and the hardness quality of the material has shown little or no signs of erosion from the 15K+ rounds shot through it.
